Here are the results of our survey on lighting standards

In recent weeks, many of you in the DIALux Community have asked what the results of our survey on lighting standards actually were. That’s why we’d now like to share them with you in detail and also show what concrete steps we’re taking based on your feedback.

First of all: thank you! A total of 489 users took part in the survey. This is not only an impressive number, but above all a clear indication of how relevant lighting standards are to your daily work. The wide range of responses provides us with a solid foundation to further develop DIALux evo in a targeted way, based not on assumptions, but on real-world requirements.

The regional distribution of responses is also worth noting. While a large proportion came from Europe, many of you also participated from Australia and New Zealand, India, South America, and other regions. This once again highlights that DIALux is used worldwide and that standards are a diverse and regionally influenced topic.

Of course, one of the most insightful aspects is which standards currently play the most important role for you and the community. A very clear picture emerges here:

Overall, it becomes clear that applications related to sports facilities and working environments, both indoor and outdoor, are currently a major focus. At the same time, the responses from regions such as Australia/New Zealand, the USA, and Russia underline how important international standards coverage is for many of you.

For us, these results are not only interesting, they directly guide our actions. We are currently working on further developing floodlighting and sports lighting in DIALux evo, which is one of our key focus areas. This is not based solely on the survey results. We also see a consistently high demand for sports and floodlighting solutions in the DIALux community, in the Feature Upvote and in direct conversations with lighting designers.

What’s next?

It is also important for us to be transparent about how we work: a dedicated development team is currently focusing on updating and expanding standards in DIALux evo. Our goal is to provide you with significantly more comprehensive and up-to-date standards in the future, on an international level.

Ultimately, this survey highlights one key point: the exchange with you makes the difference. Your feedback helps us set the right priorities, understand real requirements, and align our development in a transparent way. DIALux evo is not developed in isolation from practice, but in direct dialogue with you.
