How to get your free DIALux Pro Subscription
1. Registration
To use DIALux Pro for free, you need a DIALux ID. Download the latest version of DIALux and register at my.dialux.com ↗.
2. Verification
Send your proof of enrollment or employment – including your name and email address, and the name and address of the educational institution – to support(at)dial.de ↗.
3. Start lighting design
Start DIALux, log in with your ID, and use the full range of DIALux Pro features for your projects. After one year, you can reapply for DIALux Pro.

Who can apply for the free DIALux Pro Subscription?
Only students and educators at universities and colleges are eligible to apply for the free DIALux Pro subscription. To qualify, you must provide valid proof of your status – for example, a current certificate of enrollment or official confirmation of employment from your educational institution.
What proof of eligibility is accepted?
To receive the free DIALux Pro subscription, we require valid proof of your status as a student or educator. Accepted documents include:
- a current certificate of enrollment
- a valid student ID
- an official confirmation from your university (e.g. certificate of study progress)
- proof of employment or confirmation of teaching activity for educators
It is important that the document clearly shows your name, the name of the educational institution, and a current date.
Which features are included in the free DIALux Pro Subscription?
With the free DIALux Pro subscription, students and educators get full access to all features of the professional version. These include, among others:
- unlimited selection of luminaires
- IFC import and export for Open BIM processes
- export of customized documentation layouts
- presentation features for projects
- layout and visualization tools for professional results

How long is the Free DIALux Pro Subscription valid?
The free DIALux Pro subscription is valid for one year. After the 12-month period, you can apply for an extension if you are still eligible (e.g. by providing renewed proof of student or educator status).
What happens after the free subscription expires?
Once the free DIALux Pro subscription expires, access to the Pro features will end automatically. If you are still studying or teaching, you can simply submit a new proof of eligibility to extend your free subscription for another year. Otherwise, you can switch to a regular DIALux Pro subscription at any time.
